What a Guy!

This blog post is dedicated to Sebastian, my younger brother and fellow TNT alum.

He offered to help us do some fundraising from across the country in South Carolina. He put up a fundraising chart on the set of Army Wives where he is working and told people that he was helping us fundraise for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This wasn't just any chart...it had fundraising incentives/goals. $1000 = Sebastian would WAX his legs... $1500 = WAXING HIS CHEST! $2000=Paint ball target practice with Sebastian being the target.

Day one, the producer asked Sebastian how much to shave his head...ummm $500? Done!

Paint ball fun!!!! No I am not posting pictures of the waxing, this is a PG-rated blog! GO TEAM!

Over the last couple of weeks the cast & crew rallied for this amazing cause and raised OVER $2500 for Team in Training! We can't thank Sebastian and the Army Wives gang enough for this huge show of support. You guys are all incredible!
This has brought us within a couple thousand dollas of our goal! Our funds are due in by the beginning of April...only a few weeks away. If you have been waiting to donate, now is the time!!! http://www.tinyurl.com/teamtilden

Top 3 List!
Top 3Reasons You Know Your Training for a Great Cause...oh yeah and an Ironman:

1. Waking up on race day at 4:30 am is not big deal because that is now normal.

2. 45 minutes of riding PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) rollers is considered just a "warm-up" to the actual ride which included 12 miles of climbing on Latigo Canyon.

3. You spend so much time on your bike that you name her, Ladies and gentlemen her name is Cricket.

Side Note: I stopped with Gordie for awhile and learned that after having a really hard time at the race last weekend he was contemplating whether or not he could keep doing this. He took the week off, regrouped and came to practice today. He was doing GREAT today. I told him that he has at least 70 reasons why to keep going, one for each of our teammates. It is always so inspiring when he is at practice. I hope he knows how much he means to all of us.
